I wondered what would happen if I were to try something like that I thought, “I’d like to ask that woman what her success rate was with that!” Almost immediately I realized; success is doing what God tells you to do. The outcome is His business. If God tells you to tell someone something and you do it, you have succeeded whether or not the person you spoke to takes it to heart. How often do we measure our success by whether the other person responded to us in a positive way? I had to think of Jeremiah, and other prophets who warned the Israelite nation over and over. Many of them were rejected and despised and even killed. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t succeed. They did what they were asked to do. Jesus was despised and rejected, but in the moment the world thought He lost, He actually succeeded!
