Senior Pastor Dave Hickman has a passion to reflect the Father’s heart of love for His people. His ministry both at home and internationally reflects a desire to see people restored spiritually and healed physically as they encounter the “Goodness of Heaven”.
He has been married 43 years to his wife Jan who is a school teacher. Their three children have blessed them with Christian homes and 9 awesome grandchildren. His educational background includes a B.A. from Friends University, Wichita, Ks. and a M.A in Religion from Earlham School of Religion, Richmond, IN. Along with 31 years of pastoral experience he has 14 years of leadership management in the business world.

Doreen Mast
Pastoral Assistant
Doreen lives to see the day that Habakkuk prophesied about- “The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea”. Presently she enjoys seeing the earth filling with beautiful people; people radiating His presence wherever they are…the partial fulfillment of His glory that will cover every place!
She desires to continually find treasure in people around her by sharing full abundant life through Christ with others and discovering “the gold” in every individual.
She says, “Tri Lakes is a good place to live out kingdom life with “hungry for more” people. I am honored to serve and hopefully empower people with the presence of Jesus.”
Connections are her passion; to God, to one another, to destiny and ministry, to the regional and global church, to the RIVER OF GOD!
Speaking at retreats, helping facilitate purposeful events, along with cross cultural mission experiences are ministry highlights for Doreen. Many such opportunities have been enjoyed with Donny since their marriage in 1985. They are blessed with 3 “destined for kingdom living” kids; Jordan, Kayci and Alex and one amazing grandchild; Kaiden.
Elaine Gerber
Office Assistant
Elaine works part time in the TLCC office and part time as sales associate in a retail shop in Shipshewana. She grew up in Northern Michigan and enjoys writing and creative organization and design. Opportunities to build one-on-one relationships both on the job and in the informal settings of home and nature are some of the things Elaine values most. Her passion is that each person is able to experience the birthright of value and belonging that God created them to receive and live from. One of her life-changing Scripture passages is from Isaiah 54:10: “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the LORD, who has compassion on you.” Elaine says, “If I were to meet only one person today, yet he experienced a revelation of this love of the Father in some way through our encounter, the day will not have been wasted.”
Marty Miller
Children’s Ministry Team Leader
Marty Miller has been the Children’s Ministry Team Leader for over 8 years. She works in this capacity on a part time basis, also working part time at Cristano’s Take and Bake Pizza and seasonally at Yup’s Dairyland.
She lives in Middlebury with her husband LaVon (of 29 years) and 3 children ages 18-23. She is incredibly blessed with the knowledge that they are all currently serving Jesus in their own individual ways.
She has a passion for children and has been involved in some type of children’s ministry for over 20 years, including a church plant in Sarasota, Florida where she grew up.
Marty uses her strengths of “Developer”, “Maximizer”, and “Arranger” to share Jesus with the children and encourage them to connect with each other, serve others and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Her joy comes from seeing the children grow up and continue to serve Jesus both in and outside of the church body.
She also thoroughly enjoys connecting with the many who volunteer their time to work with children and seeing them grow as they connect with and teach these precious young lives God has allowed us to serve.
Terry Phillips
Teen Ministry Team Leader
Terry serves as volunteer youth pastor and has a passion for teens and young adults.
Terry has been involved in ministry since 2000 serving as a Sunday school superintendent, leading teen ministries, leading youth groups, participating in AWANA programs, participating in vacation bible school programs, participating and leading camps ministries, etc.
Terry and his wife Kolleen live in Michigan and together lead our teen programs and teen outreach events.
As a youth minister Terry desires to see young lives transformed and renewed with the goodness and holiness of the Lord flowing like a life-spring from the hearts and minds of young people everywhere. Bringing heaven to earth through faithful followers of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
